David would want to be remembered by how he made everyone smile. He never forgot a face, had a wonderfully quick wit, and was generous with a story to make you laugh.

Sadly, David passed away on December 30, 2022, at the age 73.

David was born in Brooklyn, NY, and graduated from Rutgers University in New Jersey in 1971. He became a financial advisor when he joined Merrill Lynch in 1972. During his forty-eight years in the business, David held numerous advisory and management positions at Alan Bush Brokerage, Prudential-Bache, Oppenheimer, Morgan Stanley DW and Deutsche Bank Securities. One of the highlights of his career is the time he spent working on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange.

In 2010, after a long career at the big firms, David and his partner, Susan Dingle, established their own independent financial services firm, Aventura Partners, LLC, now called Aventura Family Office. David found his niche as an entrepreneur and loved working to improve the business for both his clients and his teammates.

One of the ways that made David smile, was the joy he found in helping families work toward their financial goals. David’s own goal was to continue working as long as possible because, he said, it provided him with a sense of purpose.

David’s knowledge and expertise in the business, along with his smile and quick wit, will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and clients.
